Vicki and Eddie Sprouse live in Charlotte, NC and are both fascinated by the weather. Vicki used to muse about how cool it would be to be a meteorologist. This past Christmas (2007) Eddie decided to help Vicki feed her weather addiction by purchasing a home weather station for her. It took him almost 3.5 months to finally get around to putting it all together and then get it linked up to the internet. The weather station is connected to a 25' pole in their back yard. The weather station is a Oregon Scientific WMR100 Professional Wireless Weather Station w/ Free Virtual Weather Station.

This blog also contains two web cams that are located at the Sprouse house. These cameras were purchased several years ago first to allow the Sprouses to keep an eye on their home while they are away and later as a way for their friends and family to see what the weather was like in Charlotte. The cameras are D-Link Securicam NetworkTM DCS-900w Internet Cameras. They have been pretty reliable and have long out lived their expected shelf life.
